Housed in the former Power Plant, the facility is also a contributing structure within the Jekyll Island National Landmark Historic District and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Jekyll Island Foundation raises funds towards the Center’s mission of RESEARCH, CONSERVATION, EDUCATION, and OTHER PROGRAMMATIC GOALS.
