Georgia’s first sea turtle rehabilitation, research, and education facility – provides state-of-the-art emergency care to sick and injured sea turtles and other wildlife.

In addition to their rehabilitation efforts, the Center features patient viewing areas, interactive exhibits, daily educational programs, field trips, guided tours, and beach walks.

Housed in the former Power Plant, the facility is also a contributing structure within the Jekyll Island National Landmark Historic District and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Jekyll Island Foundation raises funds towards the Center’s mission of RESEARCH, CONSERVATION, EDUCATION, and OTHER PROGRAMMATIC GOALS.
