Arthur Tripp, Jr. serves as Vice President of External Affairs at Georgia Power, where he leads efforts to drive alignment, execution, and integration across the company’s External Affairs functions. In this role, he works closely with leaders across the enterprise to translate business priorities into coordinated external strategies, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and lead engagement with key stakeholders at the local, regional, state, and federal levels.
Arthur previously served as Vice President of Community and Economic Development, where he led statewide initiatives to recruit and retain business investment, support job creation, strengthen community partnerships, and position Georgia as a premier destination for economic growth. His leadership has advanced strategic initiatives supporting infrastructure development and long-term prosperity across the state.
Prior to joining Georgia Power, Arthur was appointed by President Joe Biden as State Executive Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency in Georgia. His career also includes service as Senior Policy Advisor to U.S. Representative David Scott, Senior Administrator in the Office of the President at the University of Georgia, and District Director for Georgia’s 7th Congressional District.
A native of Warner Robins, Georgia, Arthur is a proud graduate of the University of Georgia and a committed community leader. He is a graduate of Leadership Georgia (Class of 2019), where he later served as Program Chair for the Class of 2020. Arthur currently serves on the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is actively involved with several other boards and civic organizations.
