Matt Reed is President and Chief Executive Officer of Georgia CEO/South Carolina CEO – a network of local websites focused on the business communities in thirteen Georgia and ten South Carolina cities. Currently more than 60,000 members across these states receive valuable intelligence on what business leaders are doing and thinking in their local CEO email newsletter.
Reed currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and on the UGA Small Business Development Center’s State Advisory Board, Leadership Albany Board, and the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission, among others. Additionally, he chairs the Horizons Community Solutions Board and the Locate South Georgia Leads Board, of which he is a founding member.
In 2015, Reed received the Rising Star Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Oxford Center for Entrepreneurs and the State Partner of the Year from the UGA Small Business Development Center.
He is a graduate of Valdosta State University, and an alumnus of Leadership Albany, Young Gamechangers, Locate South GeorgiaLEADS, and Leadership Georgia Programs.
Matt, his wife, Kelsey, a nurse practitioner at Phoebe Putney health system, and their one-year-old daughter reside in Albany, Georgia.
