Juanita Hicks
Director
Dr. Juanita W. Hicks serves as the Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at the University of Georgia. With over 20 years of human resources experience, including over a decade in executive leadership roles, she is a seasoned professional in her field.
Before her tenure at UGA, Dr. Hicks was the Vice Chancellor for Human Resources for the University System of Georgia. She also held positions as Deputy Director of Human Resources and Special Projects at Georgia Tech and Chief Human Resources Officer at the University of West Georgia.
Dr. Hicks is an alumna of the University of West Georgia, where she earned her undergraduate degree. She holds a master’s degree from Clemson University and a doctorate from the University of Georgia.
Active in her community, Dr. Hicks is involved with Leadership Georgia and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is married to Craig, and they have two children, Will and Bella.
