John Gross is a retired professional retail manager with forty-three years in management with Havertys Furniture: fifteen years in store management, and twenty-six years as the Eastern Regional Manager.
Certified Gallup StrengthFinder Coach. Having worked for 20 years with store teams using this tool Gross became certified by Gallup in order to be able to work with the Glynn County Leadership team, Waycross City leadership team, and the Vestry of St. Marks Episcopal Church.
A native of Atlanta, Gross holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University. After visiting the Golden Isles from a young age, Gross’s extended family has owned homes on the island from 1956 on. Gross and his wife Edith moved to Jekyll Island full time in 2017 and have enjoyed being part of the Jekyll Island community.
