Anna “Miki” Thomaston

With nearly 25 years as an engineer at RYAM (Rayonier Advanced Materials) Miki is currently the manager of technical marketing. During her tenure, she served on the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Board of Directors (2016-2023) and the North Georgia Mountain Authority (dates?). She is a Leadership Georgia alum (2016), 2022 Program Chair, and 2014 member of Georgia’s 40 Under 40. Boys and Girls Club has been Miki’s chosen philanthropy in Jesup. She served as chief volunteer officer on the board and remains actively involved. She is acting chairperson of the Wayne Count Landing and Leisure Authority and a part of the Southern Pines Regional College and Career Academy board that is working on the initial campus. Miki serves as an active volunteer at her church and enjoys hunting and fishing; a highlight is calling up a turkey by herself! Miki and her husband, Jody, also coach several youth sports, where their 2 boys Jackson and Greyson expend some of their high levels of energy. Miki’s greatest commitment is striving to make little knights out of her two boys. For stress relief, she enjoys traveling the world, but always likes the idea of coming back to Jesup.
