Norman Haft
Director
Norman Haft is a full-time resident of Jekyll Island, where is served as President of the Jekyll Island Citizens Association as well as an International Seafarers Center Board of Directors.
A lawyer and businessman by trade, Mr. Haft brings a diverse resume to the Jekyll Island Foundation. He has worked with a general practice law firm in New York City, served as general manager for the Bermuda Small Business Development Corporation in Hamilton, Bermuda, and was president and principal shareholder of the Maumee Corporation, in Adrian Michigan, a wholesaler of athletic equipment to schools and recreation departments.
Mr. Haft has accumulated decades of civic experience, with roles in a variety of community-based and volunteer positions. He served six two-year terms as Mayor of Adrian, Michigan, is a Director Emeritus of the Preservation Society of Charleston, and held various volunteer positions including the In-house Counsel to the Catholic Diocese of Charleston.
